In the former, two processing steps of forming and curing are required, and the base material and the rubber plate are directly contacted with each other. In addition, the conductive layer tends to be peeled off from the base material.
In the latter, the binder is applied at a portion of the base material and the electrically conductive layer. Therefore, the base material and the rubber layer can be contacted with each other easily. However, the rubber plate is generally low in elasticity, and when the rubber plate is deformed by pressing the base material and the electrically conductive layer together, the rubber plate is compressed unevenly, i.e., high concentration of strain occurs in particular areas. Therefore, the rubber plate does not uniformly adhere to the base material and to the electrically conductive layer. In addition, uneven deformation is produced by the binder which is applied at a portion of the base material.
